The 66 books of the Bible are called the “canon” of Scripture. This refers to a complete set of works, but also that these works are consistent with each other.

So, the canon of Scripture is the complete, internally consistent Word of God.

But are there books that got left out of the Bible? We’ll look at this claim this week. But as we do, keep in mind what God promises about his Word: it will stand forever it will all be accomplished, and it is God-breathed. The Bible gives us what we need for godly living, and it will accomplish its purpose.

Certainly, the God who makes such claims about his Word would ensure the canon was accurate.
