This week we’re celebrating six years since the Ark Encounter opened in Northern Kentucky. This attraction features a life-size reconstruction of Noah’s Ark, and you know what we hear all the time? “Wow, I had no idea it was so big!”
Because of the silly Ark illustrations most of us grew up with, people often think of the ship as an overloaded boat, about to sink. But that’s not the biblical Ark. The real Ark was massive—much longer than a football field and higher than a four-story house! It had the storage capacity of four hundred and fifty semi-trailers.
The Ark isn’t just a story. The flood was a real historical event. And, yes, Noah really did build an Ark.
