Yesterday we learned the question of the age of the earth plus creation vs. evolution is a question of authority—will we start with man’s word or God’s Word?

You see, if we start with man’s word, then life evolved over millions of years—and it evolved by a process of death, suffering, and extinction. That means God used this awful process to create life. But that’s not what the Bible describes!

Genesis says God created everything by speaking and that originally creation was very good. Death and suffering are the consequences of sin—not something that existed for millions of years before sin.

Genesis and millions of years . . . they don’t go together!
