Our culture today makes a very big deal about so-called skin “color.” But do we really have different colors of skin? Actually, no, we don’t!

You see, our so-called skin “color” is primarily determined by a brownish pigment in your skin. It’s called melanin. To put it simply, if you produce lots of melanin, you’ll have a dark brown shade of skin; with a little bit of melanin, you’ll be light brown.

We don’t have different colors of skin. We’re just different shades of brown because of the genetic diversity God put into the first human couple.

Instead of focusing on minor differences, we need to understand that we’re all one race, created in the image of God.
