This is Ken Ham, encouraging all churches to start their thinking with God’s Word.
Euthanasia is the intentional ending of the lives of those with a chronic illness. Some people are now pushing to expand that to mental illness . . . or simply old age.
Who has the authority to decide when a life ends?
Well, in our culture today, people believe they have complete autonomy over their bodies. They believe they can do whatever they want with their bodies, including choosing when they die.
But God is the God of life and death—and we’re accountable to him. We don’t have the authority to decide when our lives end.
Each person has value because we’re all made in the image of God. The elderly and suffering have value because they are God’s image bearers.
