Satan is a fallen angel. But does the Bible tell us when he fell? Well, no—it really doesn’t. But it does offer us some clues.

As we learned yesterday, angels were created during the creation week, probably on day one, and no later than day three.

Now, at the end of the sixth day of the creation week, God pronounced everything he’d made “very good.” Since everything was very good, this must’ve included the angels—even the ones that would eventually rebel. Then God blessed the seventh day and made it holy. So it’s very unlikely Satan rebelled on that day.

From all of this, I believe Satan’s fall had to be after the end of the creation week, not before.
