Many people argue that Genesis isn’t literal history. It’s their attempt to fit millions of years—and evolution—into the Bible. But that’s not how the New Testament authors treated Genesis!
Inspired by the Holy Spirit, they accepted Genesis as history. The authors refer to people like Adam, Eve, Noah, and Abraham as real people. They write about the early events in history, such as creation, the flood, and the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, all in the same way: as real historical events.
The Bible speaks with one voice. And from cover to cover, it testifies that the Bible is a book of history—the only foundation for a biblical worldview.
