This is Ken Ham, author, speaker, and blogger on science and the Bible’s reliability.
This week we’ve seen that atheism can’t provide an ultimate foundation for morality, meaning and purpose—or the laws of nature. Well, it also can’t give an ultimate foundation for hope.
You see, in the evolutionary, atheistic worldview, death is the end. You die, that’s it—you’re done. You won’t know you ever lived, and eventually no one else will either. There’s no ultimate hope.
That’s very different from the biblical worldview. The Bible says death is the consequence for sin. But Jesus Christ stepped into history and died in our place. He took the punishment of death for us! If we repent and trust in him, we receive the gift of eternal life.
