Many people see creation versus evolution as just a side issue. But what you believe about Genesis matters. You see, all of our major Christian doctrines are either directly or indirectly founded in Genesis.
All this week we’re going to look at just some of these doctrines that’re grounded in Genesis. Here’s one—why are we sinners? Well, to understand why, you’ve got to look at Genesis. It teaches that God created everything perfect. But the first people, Adam and Eve, rebelled against God. We sinned in Adam, and we continue to sin. That’s why we’re sinners and need a Savior!
What you believe about Genesis matters. It’s not a side issue—it’s a foundational one!
