Listen

This is Ken Ham, the president of the ministry behind the popular Answers Bible Curriculum.

Transcript

Last year, a seminary in New York made headlines with a tweet showing students confessing their sins … to plants. Yes—these students actually confessed what they called “climate sins” to potted plants!

You know, this is pagan … and it doesn’t do any good! Like the idols described in the Old Testament, those plants aren’t listening. And they aren’t forgiving you!

Really, this is a perversion of the gospel. Their hope and trust is in Mother Earth—and to our ability to stop a perceived man-made climate change. But our only hope should be in Christ and his completed work on the cross.

As Scripture says, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just … and will forgive our sins.”
