Transcript

Our planet has many layers of coal. The “secular story” is that coal forms very slowly, over millions of years. But coal is really a consequence of the global flood.

You see, around the world, there are miles of rock layers laid down by water. And In between many of those layers are these coal layers. They were formed when rising floodwaters of Noah’s time buried massive amounts of vegetation. Heat and pressure then converted that vegetation into coal. It doesn’t take millions of years—scientists can make coal in just a few months!

Coal—which is a consequence of the judgment of the flood—is quite useful to humans. It’s a reminder of God’s provision, even in judgment.
