The Bible and “Interracial” Marriage

This is Ken Ham, author of the children’s book, One Blood for Kids .

Until 1967, so-called “interracial marriage” was illegal in much of the United States. Some people even tried to use the Bible to justify their position against these marriages.

But the Bible is clear—we’re one race, descended from Adam and Eve. The reason we look a little different is that the event of the Tower of Babel split up the gene pool, resulting in different people groups.

There’s only one marriage the Bible speaks against: a marriage between the two spiritual races. Biologically we’re all one race. But spiritually we all belong to the lost or the saved race. Those of the saved race—Christians—should never knowingly marry someone of the lost race.
