Many professing Christians cannot properly explain the gospel to others. In fact, many believe that other religions can lead to salvation. What can we do to help correct their misunderstandings?

Well, we need to teach the gospel—the whole gospel. We tend to focus on Jesus’ death or his Resurrection, and that’s great, but we should also teach the gospel starting in Genesis. Explain that God created a perfect world, but we rebelled against him. And the just penalty for that sin is death.

But Jesus came and died, taking that penalty of death upon himself. Now, God can freely justify us who believe because of what Christ did in rising from the dead.
