Around 4,300 years ago, the world that once existed was completely destroyed by floodwaters. The surface of the globe was reshaped, as plate tectonics moved continents around. Mountains and valleys were formed. Volcanoes spewed ash and dust into the atmosphere, cooling the air, and warming the oceans. After the Flood, the conditions became perfect for an Ice Age.

The Flood affected the climate radically. Discussion about climate change needs to take this event into account.
