Zonkeys, Ligers, and Wholphins

What are zonkeys, ligers, and wholphins? Well, zonkeys are the offspring of zebras and donkeys, ligers come from lions and tigers, and wholphins come from the false killer whales and dolphins.

Scripture tells us that God created everything to reproduce according to its kind. Now, creatures like these show us that “kind” isn’t the same thing as “species”. The biblical kind is usually around the “family” level in our modern system.

God created these original kinds with the potential for lots of variety. That’s why creatures in the same kind can look so different. But according to the Bible, a kind will never produce anything other than its own kind.
