People around the world look different. Probably even in your own neighborhood there is lots of variety. Where did these differences come from? Well, the Bible gives us the answer!

Both Scripture—and observational science—make it clear that there is only one race—the human race. The idea of many different races is an old evolutionary idea that has been rejected. After the Flood, the Bible tells us that Noah’s descendants were divided by language at the Tower of Babel. People spread around the world, isolating themselves from each other. Soon certain characteristics, like skin shade or eye shape, arose in different people groups.

Yes, Genesis explains our differences! There is only one race—the human race.
