You know, God originally created a perfect world. But Adam and Eve’s sin brought death and suffering into creation. And death is the direct result of sin. That is why Jesus had to come to earth and die physically—to take the penalty of death that we deserve upon Himself.

What you believe about Genesis matters! If Adam and Eve weren’t real people, or if death wasn’t really the penalty for sin, then the foundation for the gospel is gone.

But the history in Genesis is true, so we can know the gospel is true.
