Over the years we’ve heard the claim that the Bible teaches a flat earth. But that’s simply not true.

The Prophet Isaiah declared that God “sits above the circle of the earth.” In the book of Job we read that God “hangs the earth on nothing.”

Now, sometimes people say poetic passages where the Bible talks about the sun rising or setting show that the Bible describes a flat earth. But this is silly. You see, no one would accuse a TV meteorologist who, while giving a weather report, mentions the sunrise or sunset and believe the earth is flat!

Observational science confirms the earth is a sphere. The Bible got this right years before it was scientifically accepted. Science always confirms God’s Word.
