When many animals hear a noise, their ears swivel. Now, since our ear muscles can’t do this, some evolutionists say this proves we have lost that function—and it is due to evolution.

Well, it is interesting that this supposed loss of function is considered evidence for upward evolution. But, evolution requires the addition of brand-new genetic information! Losing function doesn’t prove that an evolutionary gain of information ever happened.

But have our ear muscles really lost function? Well, a sudden noise causes our ears to react—and triggers our “startle reflex.” This suggests we just haven’t figured out the full purpose of our ear muscles.

More research will likely uncover the complexity of God’s design.
