This is Ken Ham, a missionary with a passion for God’s Word and the gospel.
Creationists and evolutionists agree that apes and humans share a lot of features, despite some huge differences. We both have five fingers, opposable thumbs, the same basic body layout, and even some similarities in DNA. Now, we can agree there is similarity between us, but what we don’t agree on is why we have similarities.
Evolutionists believe apes are our closest living relatives. They think the similarities point to a common ancestor. But we know from God’s Word that humans are created in the image of God, distinct from all animals—including apes.
We share common features. Why? Because we have a common Designer! The different interpretations stem from our different starting points.
