Gender ideology hurts people.
Now, that will get an emotional reaction from many in our culture.
In the comments on our videos that talk about gender and sexuality, many people accuse us of being hateful, arguing that we should just allow people to live their lives how they want. But we can’t be silent because 1) our commitment to God’s Word and the gospel doesn’t allow us to and 2) our love for our neighbor doesn’t allow us to stay silent either.
Real people—image bearers of God—are being left hurting and broken in the wake of what they thought would bring them peace, healing, and happiness.
Real people—image bearers of God—are being left hurting and broken in the wake of what they thought would bring them peace, healing, and happiness. Consider a new study that found that 95% of the “transgender men” (women who identify as men) who participated in the study “developed pelvic floor dysfunction after taking the hormone to transition” and notes that “transgender men suffer from ‘postmenopausal bladder and bowel symptoms because of taking testosterone.” This is just another side effect in a long list of issues caused by taking cross-sex hormones (not to mention the consequences of so-called “gender affirming,” really body-mutilating, surgeries).
As the article linked above reported:
The effect of sex-changing drugs on bodily functions was ‘under-researched and under-reported’, as experts warned that sex changing drugs could put young people on ‘exactly the same trajectory’ as those in menopause.
Prescribing these drugs to teens and young people is nothing short of a human experiment, and we should be horrified as the consequences begin to roll in. And that horror should spur us to speak up about the devastating consequences of ignoring God’s “very good” design of male and female.
But it gets worse than “just” the physical consequences. Consider another recent study that found that “people who undergo transgender surgery are 12 times more likely to commit suicide.” This study looked at 90 million patients in the US from the past 20 years, comparing emergency room visits for categories of patients.
The researchers compared the experiences of persons aged 18-60 who visited hospital emergency rooms who had previously undergone “transition” surgery with those who visited emergency rooms without having undergone transgender surgery: A stunning 3.47 percent of those who had surgically “transitioned” were treated for suicide attempts, versus 0.29 percent for non-“transitioned” patients.
The study’s major finding: “Individuals who underwent gender-affirming [sic] surgery had a 12.12-fold higher suicide attempt risk than those who did not.”
Sadly, many will suppress or reject such studies to try to justify such blatant sin.
This dangerous gender ideology has severe and heart-breaking consequences.
Yes, this dangerous gender ideology has severe and heart-breaking consequences. As Christians, we must continue to speak up and share the truth that we know from God’s Word (and that is confirmed by observational science):
Male and female he created them. (Genesis 1:27)
If you struggle with gender identity, or know someone who does, I encourage you to watch this testimony from Laura Perry Smalts, a woman who identified as transgender for years but was saved by Christ and given a new identity.

Marian Tompson recently quit La Leche League because of a new “inclusivity policy” that allows men to attend meetings to be supported in “chestfeeding” newborns.
Was the miracle of Jesus feeding the 5,000 with just five loaves and two fish a little less than miraculous?
