According to new research by the Cultural Currents Institute, online searches relating to sexual orientation and gender identity have risen by more than 1,300% since 2004. Searches including “Am I gay?” and “How to come out” were highest in Oklahoma and Utah, traditionally conservative states.

This analysis reveals not only the confused state of our culture but also the questions people are asking. Sadly, many are looking to man’s opinion when they should be looking to God’s Word, the true authority on gender and sexuality. Scripture makes it clear that God created only two genders: male and female (Genesis 1:27).

May Christians speak up and lovingly point people to Scripture, where we find answers to life’s toughest questions and hope for the future.
