IRA Charitable Distribution Gifts

Looking for a way to make a big difference in expanding the impact of Answers in Genesis? Does your joy for what God is doing at AiG overflow to generosity as Paul described in 2 Corinthians 8:2–3? If you’re 70½ or older, then a charitable distribution from your IRA directly to AiG may be a great way to partner with us (sometimes referred to as an “IRA charitable rollover” in some publications).

What are the benefits of giving in this way?

• Pay no taxes on charitable distributions up to $100,000 from your IRA when it is transferred directly to AiG.
• Satisfy your RMD (required minimum distribution) for the year.
• Reduce your taxable income, even if you do not itemize deductions.
• Make a gift that is not subject to the deduction limits on charitable gifts.
• Help further the work and mission of Answers in Genesis.

It’s a simple process. Here’s how it works.

• Let your IRA plan administrator know that you want to make a gift directly from your IRA to Answers in Genesis, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, Tax ID # 33-0596423. (Have your name included on the memo line or stub of the check.)
• Have your IRA funds mailed directly to Answers in Genesis at PO Box 510, Hebron, KY, 41048.
• Call or email to let us know the funds are on their way. (Once we receive the funds, we’ll send you a letter of acknowledgement.)
