I’ve written multiple times on my blog about the dangers of puberty blockers and other hormone therapies or surgical “solutions” for those who believe they are transgender. Refusing to embrace God’s design of male or female (Genesis 1:27) has consequences, including horrible physical consequences for those who begin hormonal and surgical alterations to their bodies. And does The New York Times sort of agree with me, though just a little?
In a very long article published recently, the column begins by telling the stories of three children (two 11-year-olds and a 13-year-old) who were prescribed puberty blockers. The article then shares that “there is emerging evidence of potential harm from using blockers, according to reviews of scientific papers and interviews with more than 50 doctors and academic experts around the world.” This “emerging evidence” is causing some doctors (especially in Europe) to halt the practice of prescribing these blockers.
This very left-wing newspaper is finally admitting what no one has been “allowed” to talk about—these puberty blockers are dangerous and physically costly!
This very left-wing newspaper is finally admitting what no one has been “allowed” to talk about—these puberty blockers are dangerous and physically costly! Consider that they are known to:
And that’s just puberty blockers—that doesn’t include the surgeries, like mastectomies, these children and teens are increasingly funneled into. It’s a horrifying world of pain and lifelong dependence on the medical community. And it’s all very new—we don’t know the long-term consequences of all of this, yet the experiments on a generation of kids enthusiastically continue. I suggest that because people have been so indoctrinated to believe humans evolved by chance random processes, and therefore they sadly reject God’s design for our bodies, they believe they can do whatever they want!
Now, The New York Times article isn’t coming out against puberty blockers or the gender madness sweeping our culture. They firmly believe gender is fluid and even suggest that, despite the mounting evidence that these puberty blockers are not safe and reversible as we’ve always been told, the “benefits are worth the costs.”
There are no benefits to fighting against God’s design and living a sinful lifestyle that rejects how God has fearfully and wonderfully fashioned you and your body!
But there are no benefits to fighting against God’s design and living a sinful lifestyle that rejects how God has fearfully and wonderfully fashioned you and your body! There is only cost—physical, mental, psychological, relational, and spiritual. Instead of rejecting God’s design and making ourselves in our own image, we must embrace and rejoice in the truth that God has made us in his image and that we can find our identity in him and what his Son did for us—not in our own subjective feelings.

Marian Tompson recently quit La Leche League because of a new “inclusivity policy” that allows men to attend meetings to be supported in “chestfeeding” newborns.
Was the miracle of Jesus feeding the 5,000 with just five loaves and two fish a little less than miraculous?
