According to statistics from a recent Lifeway Research study, the public opinion of Christians is waning.1

Scripture calls followers of Christ to walk blamelessly (Philippians 2:15). If the world perceives us negatively, it should not be for unkindness or compromise but for standing on truth in love.

  • 53% believe most Americans have a positive perception of Christians.
  • 69% think people’s perceptions of US Christians are getting worse.
  • 45% say the perception of Christians is declining because Christians don’t act any different than non-Christians.
