Springtime and the Masters

Well, spring is finally here!

For the last twenty years, the week of the Masters has been a traditional week off for me. This year was no exception. Somehow my body just knows that I’m not supposed to be in the office during Masters week.

I was able to spend a lot of time at home with Liz and Sarah. It was a blessing to be far away from emails, meetings, and anything to do with an airport scanner.

The extra special part of the week was a trip to Augusta, Georgia. I was fortunate to be able to get four tickets to the Monday practice round of the Masters tournament. It was my fifth trip to see Augusta National Golf Club, and I can honestly say that it is one of the most beautiful places on earth—sorta the ultimate guy trip!

Spring also means other things: lawn mowing, weed eating, fertilizer, and mulch. I’ll post more on these things later.
