Biblical Creationist’s Review of NBC’s Surviving Earth

This eight-part series focuses on extinct animals and the supposed mass-extinction events that evolutionists believe happened over supposed millions and millions of years of earth’s history. It’s a great example of a point we at Answers in Genesis make all the time: Everyone has the same evidence, but different interpretations occur because of different starting points.

Evolutionists look at fossils, rock layers, and earth’s other geological features and see evidence of a series of global (or close to it) catastrophes across hundreds of millions of years. Biblical creationists look at the same fossils, rock layers, and other geological features and see evidence for one global catastrophe—the catastrophic Flood of Noah’s day just a few thousand years ago.

The issue isn’t the evidence—it’s a battle over interpretation because of two different starting points.
