3 Free Resources from Answers in Genesis for Public School Students

For many American families, the school year has recently begun again (or it will soon). And for many of these families, their children are heading back to a public (secular = anti-God) school classroom. If that’s you, are your kids prepared to think biblically about what they’ll be learning?

You are either for Christ or against Him, and since our education system is based on atheistic naturalism, it’s certainly not for Christ!

Now, as I’ve said many times, the secular education system is not neutral. There is no neutrality. You are either for Christ or against Him, and since our education system is based on atheistic naturalism, it’s certainly not for Christ! Children must be equipped to think biblically about the challenges to their faith and the naturalistic thinking they’ll inevitably be exposed to. (Of course, this is true for any student! Every child must be equipped, so these resource suggestions are also great for homeschool or Christian school students).

Today, I wanted to highlight three free resources you can use with your children to help equip them.

  1. Kids Answers: This website is just for kids and is filled with fun apologetics content in articles, videos, games, and activities. It’s all designed to lay the foundation of a biblical worldview and to give them answers to the questions of our day. It’s a great site to let them explore on their own (everything is safe for them, and there are no external links) or, better yet, to sit down and enjoy with them.
  2. The New Answers Books: Did you know you can read most of all four of these best-selling apologetics books for free? If you have middle or high school students, it’s a good idea to go through these books together so they’ll be equipped with answers to about 120 of the most common objections to the truth of God’s Word. Consider picking a chapter a week to go through and discuss together. (You can also order print versions of these books or pick up our Answers Books for Kids series for elementary students. They are excellent. Another great resource for families is Creation to Babel, my family commentary on the foundational chapters of Genesis.)
  3. Our YouTube channels (especially the Answers in Genesis and Ken Ham channels): We regularly post videos featuring myself and other AiG speakers and writers. These videos give answers to common questions about the Bible and provide biblical commentary and worldview insights into the top science and culture stories of our day. Consider watching one of these videos on the way to or from school and then discussing it together. It’s a great way to have meaningful conversations with your kids while you both think through the issues of our day, starting with Scripture.

We hope these three resources—all of which are free—are helpful to you and your family. We are passionate about equipping you to pass along a biblical worldview to your children. There’s nothing more vital than our children knowing Christ and standing boldly on His Word!

Oh, and I’ll give you a bonus resource that isn’t free but is very affordable—our Answers TV streaming platform. With over 7,000 videos (and more coming all the time), it’s packed with God-honoring, family-friendly content to help you grow in your biblical worldview. I encourage you to check it out for a week for free (and then it’s only $39.99 for a whole year—it’s very cost-effective for families). Parents need to use a God-honoring, family-friendly streaming platform like this for their families.
