Answers VBS Hits 20-Million-Meals Milestone for Children’s Hunger Fund

Our Answers VBS includes a Missions Moment to encourage the children to turn their love for Jesus into action, serving others. We partner with a wonderful mercy ministry, Children’s Hunger Fund, for this part of the curriculum. Not only do they provide for the physical needs of children around the world, but they do so through the local church so that each child has the opportunity to hear the gospel and become connected with a local church. It’s a great example of being the hands and feet of Jesus in this world.

Every summer, hundreds of churches use Answers VBS and choose to raise money for Children’s Hunger Fund. Kids collect spare change ($0.25 can provide one meal) and bring it with them each evening. Over the years we’ve been doing this, churches have together collected enough to buy 20,000,000 meals. That’s incredible!

We also raise money for CHF through special meal deals at the attractions. When one of these meals is purchased, we purchase a meal through CHF to feed a hungry child.

We’re thankful for this wonderful ministry partnership, and we’re excited that 20,000,000 meals have been served in Christ’s name thanks to the Answers VBS program, the churches who use it, and many generous kids.
