This year, we’re celebrating 10 years since the opening of the Ark Encounter. Now, what does this special anniversary have to do with Mother’s Day? Well, they’re connected because our attractions—and the whole AiG ministry—are really a legacy of my parents, who are now both with the Lord.
It’s a legacy of a father who stood boldly on the authority of God’s Word and a mother who loved Jesus, loved God’s Word, and prayed.
It’s a legacy of a father who stood boldly on the authority of God’s Word and a mother who loved Jesus, loved God’s Word, and prayed. My mum was a prayer warrior. Up until the Lord called her home, she prayed for me, my wife, our children and grandchildren, and the AiG ministry as much as she could.
We’ve seen countless prayers answered over the years, often in spectacular ways, and are so grateful for my mum’s commitment to praying for us. Yes, the Ark Encounter celebrating 10 years is more than just a celebration of what the Lord has done through that attraction (our research shows 70,000 people come to Christ each year after their visit!), it’s a reminder of the legacy of godliness and prayer that built this ministry and our attractions.
Thank you, Lord, for a godly mum.
If you’re a mother yourself, I pray this encourages you to pray for your children and grandchildren. Be ceaseless in praying for them and trusting the Lord’s care and sovereignty in their lives. You will leave a legacy. What kind of legacy will it be?
I hope you have a wonderful Mother’s Day!
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
