Ministry Update: AiG Staff Move into New Headquarters Building

Maybe you’ve seen documentaries about people who find an old Model T Ford that’s been sitting out in a field and then “resurrect” it! Such a restoration takes a lot of work and many new parts. And that kind of work is a huge part of what we’ve been up to lately!

Through a series of miracles, Answers in Genesis was able to procure the old Toyota Headquarters building in Northern Kentucky three years ago. This building is strategically located at two major interstates, five minutes from the airport, and between the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum.

This building sat unoccupied for a number of years, so it needed considerable work to renovate and refurbish it to bring it up to the standard needed for occupancy. And enough of that work has now been completed that our staff have moved in! Yes, we have now “resurrected” this building, and it’s so great to see it come alive.

Over a year ago, our Answers Academy Christian school moved into the left-hand side of the building, and now our office staff have moved into the rest of the building. This is a phenomenal asset for our ministry and will save us tens of millions of dollars in the long term and years of time because now we don’t have to build office buildings at the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter to accommodate our growing staff (as had been planned for the future). The office side of our Headquarters is currently about 65% occupied, so we have a lot of room for expansion.

Praise the Lord.

The office space at the Creation Museum is now designated to be turned into a children’s museum in the future. That’s our vision, so we will see how and when the Lord directs us concerning this possibility.
