While the news cycle has moved on from the massive devastation Hurricane Helene wreaked in North Carolina, families are still hurting with winter approaching and their homes remaining completely uninhabitable. To help those desperate families, a dedicated team of eight individuals from our Department of Public Safety traveled to Spruce Pine, North Carolina, in November to aid in the clean-up efforts.

In partnership with the North Carolina chapter of Baptists on Mission, they spent five days clearing downed trees and removing mud from buildings that were submerged under the floodwaters (this required a significant amount of physical effort, as you can imagine!). These photos give a small picture of what they did and what the people of North Carolina are still dealing with weeks after the hurricane:

We are thrilled that this group of wonderful Christian staff members were burdened to do this on behalf of AiG. Please continue to pray for NC and the ongoing efforts by so many Christians and churches to help these communities.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
