How Will Our Children Survive in This World?

What a world we live in! Though the seeds for what’s swirling around us now were planted decades ago (and many people predicted that this insanity was coming!), the results still seem to be incomprehensible at times. And there’s more evil coming as man’s ability to invent new ways of sinning is unbounded. How are our children to survive in this world?

God’s truth is for every Christian in every circumstance in every generation.

Well, the same way that past generations have not only survived but thrived in spite of the culture around them: by standing rooted in the absolute authority of the truth of God’s Word with an abiding belief in the gospel message. God’s truth is for every Christian in every circumstance in every generation. But if this truth will abide in children’s hearts, they must first know it!

That, of course, is a parent’s primary responsibility—to raise their children in the truth and admonition of the Lord. But the church is called to come alongside parents and help with this discipleship. And that’s why we develop resources for churches! One of those resources, which will be so powerful in helping children stand firm for truth, is our 2023 Answers Vacation Bible School, Keepers of the Kingdom.

This VBS is such a powerful message in our post-truth culture. Keepers of the Kingdom will teach children that there is truth and there’s an ongoing battle between light (truth) and darkness (lies). This armor of God themed VBS uses knights, castles, and dragons to teach children

  • That we’re in a battle between two kingdoms
  • What the pieces of the armor of God are and what they represent
  • That there is absolute truth that’s for all people, all times, and all circumstances
  • To put on what’s right (Jesus’ righteousness) . . . and do right
  • To guard against false teaching and temptations
  • To be ready to give an answer for the hope they have.

As always, with an Answers VBS you can expect there to be

  • No “fluff and stuff,” so children will learn deep truths that give them a solid biblical foundation
  • Apologetics (i.e., faith defense) teaching, a biblical authority emphasis, science experiments, great music, and much more
  • Teaching on why we believe what we believe
  • Powerful gospel teaching throughout the entire week and an evangelistic emphasis
  • Wonderful training tools for leaders and volunteers.
  • Memory verse music, a drama, crafts, and snacks that reinforce the main lesson
  • Lots and lots of fun!

Don’t miss this opportunity to ground children in truth. Order your Keepers of the Kingdom VBS kit today (and enjoy 25% off your Super Starter or Starter Kit now through January 10, 2023, with coupon code VBS23B at checkout).

Training Tools for Leader and Volunteers

Above I mentioned that we have training tools for those involved with an Answers VBS. Well, one of those tools is our Keepers of the Kingdom Showcase Event on January 28, 2023, at the Ark Encounter, south of Cincinnati.

This is a one-day event specifically designed for VBS directors and volunteers to help them put on the best VBS ever, with “tips and tricks” from veteran VBS directors on a wide variety of topics for churches of all sizes. (Not only that, but hundreds of other VBS directors and volunteers will be in attendance, so there’s much to be learned from others you’ll meet!)

This showcase features

  • Decorating tips
  • Craft and science experiment demonstrations
  • A Bible lesson overview
  • Games and snacks overviews
  • A how-to on hosting a sensory-friendly VBS
  • Get-togethers with other directors
  • And more!

Not only will you gain practical VBS wisdom, but you and your team will have a lot of fun in the process! Register online for this exciting event (a group discount is available).

Another tool is our special preconference the day before the showcase. On January 27, 2023, at the Ark Encounter, you’ll enjoy teaching sessions from Bryan Osborne, Tim Chaffey, Bodie Hodge, Dr. Georgia Purdom, and me to equip you to answer the questions the children in your VBS are facing and asking in today’s battle for truth. This conference is open to everyone, but we specifically encourage VBS volunteers to attend. You can register for that event on our event page (combo registration for both the conference and the showcase, along with Ark admission, is available).

Visit our event page to learn more about these unique training tools for your whole VBS team.

I believe the AiG VBS program is the most powerful of such programs in the world. It’s life changing!

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
