A Good Day to be Reminded to Pray for Our Nation

First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Timothy 2:1–4)

God desires that everyone—even those leading this nation (many of whom are very evil)—would be saved and know his truth. We should be praying and interceding to that end while we also live a “peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way” so we can be the sweet aroma of Christ among those who are perishing (2 Corinthians 2:14–15).
