2020—“One Star Out of Five”?

God demonstrated his amazing faithfulness to Answers in Genesis. He worked through thousands of friends of this ministry to supply our financial needs. He used our amazing staff to do things we’d never done before, like offer a free virtual Vacation Bible School (VBS), IncrediWorld, to thousands of churches and families—many using these unique materials for the first time.

God is not just preserving this ministry, he’s broadening it!

Also, God stirred a supporter to enable us to start Answers.tv, our new streaming platform for the whole family—and over 11,000 people have already subscribed! God was gracious to allow us to open a powerful pro-life exhibit, Fearfully and Wonderfully Made, at the Creation Museum. God even led one of our supporters to fund Truth Traveler, a stunning high-tech virtual reality program at the Ark Encounter. I could write so much more. God is not just preserving this ministry, he’s broadening it!

One way God helped preserve and broaden this Bible-affirming and evangelistic ministry during this challenging year was through the generosity of his people. Our supporters have been so faithful to give to ensure this ministry continues to be able to impact lives for God’s glory.

Last Opportunity for Lifetime Boarding Passes

One unique way people were able to “give” was by purchasing a lifetime boarding pass to our attractions. These boarding passes were brought back for a limited time and grant the pass holder lifetime admission to both the Ark Encounter and Creation Museum in N. Kentucky, along with other perks. A family lifetime boarding pass allows your entire family—including children of any age—to enjoy this unlimited admission for life (that includes the lifetime of your kids!). Many families took advantage of this unique opportunity, and there’s still time for you to purchase one—but they’re going away again after December 31, 2020, so time is almost up!

Largest Matching Gift Challenge in AiG History

We’ve also been blessed by two generous end-of-year matching gift challenges. First, a family foundation provided the largest matching gift challenge ever in AiG history—$3.5 million. They knew because of the shutdown we couldn’t store up finances as we normally do to get us through the slow winter months. They also are excited about the projects coming in 2021.

This means that any gift received by December 31, 2020, will have double the impact because of the $3.5 million matching gift challenge. Praise God!

But then three more generous supporters stepped forward and added another $500,000 to the matching gift challenge! They want to challenge our supporters to enable us to raise a total of at least $8 million! And God’s people have been so generous that we are well on our way to meeting that goal.

Most important, millions of people will continue to be impacted as God uses AiG. People will be saved, and homes, churches, and schools will be challenged to uphold the authority of God’s Word and the gospel.
