Millions of Christians around the world have been encouraged and inspired by the words and writings of “the Prince of Preachers,” Charles Spurgeon. His wisdom and insight into Scripture have helped many Christians discover the richness of God’s Word. But, because of changes in the English language over the past century, his writings can be difficult to understand. So Larry and Marion Pierce (translators of James Ussher’s The Annals of the World) have updated Spurgeon’s sermons so a new generation can learn from his words. This was a monumental task for the Pierces, but what a resource we now have in a much easier reading style!
These sermons from the Prince of Preachers are a treasure trove for us.
The Pierces remain faithful to the original meaning of Spurgeon’s sermons but allow modern readers to easily understand them. We at Answers in Genesis are pleased to present the text of a large collection of his sermons for our supporters to enjoy on our website. (Please note that these sermons are a series for reference. Of course all of us may find occasional theological differences and other items we might disagree with—all of us have feet of clay. Nonetheless, these sermons from the Prince of Preachers are a treasure trove for us.)
We’ve recently released a new feature related to Spurgeon’s sermons. You can sign up to receive emails when a new sermon is posted so you won’t miss any of this encouraging content. Simply visit our Spurgeon sermons page and enter your email on the left-hand side to sign up for email notifications when a new sermon is released. I urge you to sign up for this phenomenal resource.
We hope you will be encouraged from God’s Word as you read the words of the Prince of Preachers.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
