“Y’all Ever Heard of Buddy Davis?”

We’re always blessed when we receive testimonies of how God is using AiG in people’s lives. We recently received two stories of how Buddy has blessed others. I thought I would share them with you.

One supporter shares this fun story.

We’re out dip-netting on the Kasilof River because we are Alaskans. A commercial fisherman pulls up and anchors in between a few hundred people. He turns on his loudspeaker. He said, “Y’all ever heard of Buddy Davis?” And he proceeds to sing one of your songs. It was awesome.

Another supporter shared this touching story about her father and Buddy Davis’ Facebook page.

You do not have to respond, but I would like to share with you how our sovereign, loving God used the verse you posted this morning in my family’s life very early this morning. This passage of Scripture has long been a favorite of my dad’s, along with the hymn, “I’ve Got a Mansion Just over the Hilltop.” For the past several days, his life on earth had been slowly ebbing away, and he had been unresponsive.

Very early this morning, just before sunrise, I saw your post with this verse. By God’s wisdom and grace I knew he was letting me know Dad would be going shortly and I was to read this passage to him. I read John 14:1–6 to him, prayed quietly with him that God our Father and our Lord Jesus and the Holy Spirit would usher Dad into His kingdom, whispered for him to keep his eyes on Jesus, and he peacefully, quietly breathed his last.

I just wanted to let you know how God used you this morning to bring comfort to us and to my dying father. He was 88 years old. Thank you.
