Do you love gorgeous sunsets, amazing photo opportunities, and cool summer evenings? If so, consider planning your Ark Encounter visit for the evening. For the first 40 days and nights, the Ark Encounter (south of Cincinnati) is open from 9 a.m. until midnight. So you can visit for the whole day or arrive later and experience the Ark in the evening. These hours are perfect for “night owls” or for guests visiting after regular work hours. All tickets are valid from 9 a.m. until midnight.
Visiting the Ark in the evening/night hours offers several benefits:
- Don’t like crowds? Come at night and skip the daytime crowds.
- Take advantage of amazing photo opportunities. The sky behind the Ark often features incredible sunsets that make a beautiful backdrop for your photos of the Ark. (Watch my Facebook video from Friday evening for proof!) And the area in front of the Ark offers the perfect spot to gather for a unique family photo!
- Enjoy cooler temperatures. Take in all the Ark Encounter has to offer during the cool Kentucky evenings.
- Limited time in Northern Kentucky? Visit the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum in one day. You could easily spend a few days between the Ark and the Creation Museum; but if you only have limited time in the area, the extended night hours at the Ark allow you to see both world-class attractions in one day. Come tour the museum in the morning and afternoon, and then head down to the Ark for the evening. During the 40 days and nights, the Creation Museum also has extended hours until 9 p.m.
Night visits this year are a limited opportunity for just the first 40 days and nights (until August 15), so be sure to plan your visit today. Learn more at ArkEncounter.com.
