AiG Supporters Are “Off Target”

by Ken Ham

Target certainly made a big splash when they announced their policy to allow individuals to use whichever restroom “corresponds with their gender identity.” Well, we’ve found out that some Answers in Genesis supporters are going off Target! And it’s resulted in many thousands of dollars in donations for AiG, the Creation Museum, and the Ark Encounter.

Gender

I blogged recently about the very public policy that the department store chain Target announced to the nation about transgender bathrooms.

I wrote, “Target department stores are welcoming ‘guests to use the restroom or fitting room facility that corresponds with their gender identity.’” I then quoted Scripture concerning this sad, unbiblical policy: “But from the beginning of the creation, God ‘made them male and female’” (Mark 10:6).

Of course, Target is a secular company so we don’t expect them to start their thinking or determine their policy based on God’s Word. But as many Americans recognize, and Target should as well, this policy is concerning and potentially dangerous, and could open the door for predatory behavior. They would certainly do better to heed the Word of the Creator!

Because of this new policy, our friends at the American Family Association started a very successful Target boycott. And recently, supporters have donated the stock in their Target portfolios to AiG, a ministry that takes a biblical stand in regard to gender.

As a result, we’ve already received many thousands of dollars, which are being used to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ and the truth of God’s Word about the gender issue.

So the Lord has used Target’s anti-biblical actions to benefit a gospel-proclaiming ministry.
