Where I Committed to Be a Missionary

by Ken Ham on July 22, 2015

In the photo below, I am standing in front of what was a church building at Innisfail, Australia, where, in response to an evangelist’s challenge in 1962, I committed to be a missionary for the Lord’s work and go wherever He wanted me to, and do whatever He wanted me to.

I didn’t know at that time what the Lord would do through Answers in Genesis, the Creation Museum, and the coming Ark Encounter. When we make such a commitment, the Lord uses us in ways we never could have imagined.

It’s been a blessing to be with my wife, Mally, visiting our homeland of Australia. While touring, we’ve seen four of these unique birds (now considered endangered) in three different locations in the past week alone, which was more than one of our bus drivers had seen all his life doing tours in the rainforest areas of Northern Australia (in the Daintree area).

I was able to snap this photo before this one disappeared into the rainforest. I asked on Facebook how many people knew what this bird is called. You can see the answer in the comments!

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
Ken
