AiG Resources Equip Christian University Professor

We are always encouraged when we read testimonies from people who find AiG resources helpful. Well, we recently received the following testimony from a teacher who uses our resources to help teach his students the truth of God’s Word from the very beginning.

Dear AiG,

I am a teacher in both a high school and in college. I teach physics, chemistry, and biology. I attended the University of Cincinnati [near the Creation Museum]. My professors made it a point to downgrade Christianity and laugh at the idea of creationism. I was troubled by this, so I decided to personally study the controversy and figure out if you could believe science and the Bible at the same time.

I fell in love with your website and scoured it often for answers and resources. I shared an Answers magazine with my father, and since then he has been an avid subscriber. It is my Father's Day present to him every year . . . .

Two years ago I was selected to teach biology for a Christian university. This is where I found my talents to be useful. Many of the students were young adults who were Christians, but began the course with hesitation or fear. They were conditioned to believe science was against religion, and that somehow their faith would be tested. The students enjoy the course and are amazed at how science supports the Bible and can be used in testimony and witnessing.

A few students have been hostile and try to prove creationism wrong. But I was able to dissect their arguments point by point, just like I see your scientists do in your feedback articles you post. I could not do this dissecting if it were not for your website, the resources you provide like Answers magazine, and the testimony of your scientists who are willing to stand on the Word of God and will not compromise.

You have equipped me with knowledge and taught me how to use it in the right way to lead others to a better understanding of God and how He works, along with countering arguments from those who oppose Him.

If I didn't have your website, Ken Ham's leadership, and other resources, I wouldn't be as effective and confident as I am today. I would still be using false ideas or compromise to try to validate God's Word.

Thanks is not enough, but my prayers and praise for you will be offered up to God who is enough. Please know that one more person has been blessed and better equipped for battle because of your service to God.

It is wonderful that this teacher is able to show his students how God’s Word can be trusted from the very beginning. In a day and age when two-thirds of our young people are walking away from the church largely due to doubt about God’s Word, it’s great to see a teacher who is working to strengthen these students’ faith—not encourage them to compromise on God’s clear teaching in Genesis. We need a generation of young people who are willing to stand on the authority of God’s Word from the very beginning and boldly proclaim it to this dying culture.
