At Answers in Genesis we have a lot to remember and be thankful for this Memorial Day weekend in America. The Creation Museum is celebrating its eighth birthday this year, and we praise God that he has brought 2.4 million guests to walk through our exhibits to learn the truth of God’s Word and the gospel, beginning in Genesis. The life-size Noah’s Ark is currently under construction and will open sometime in 2016, as another evangelistic outreach tool that we expect (from detailed, professionally conducted research) will reach 1.4–2.2 million people in just the first year. Also, once the Ark Encounter opens, research predicts the attendance at the Creation Museum will increase by another 400,000 people per year (which means around 700,000 guests per year). You can keep up-to-date with the project at ArkEncounter.com.
On this Memorial Day, we are thankful for our veterans and active-serving members of the US military who have risked their lives for our freedom and to keep us safe. Most of all, we are thankful for the person of Jesus Christ, who paid the ultimate sacrifice for our sin. With His death on the Cross, He took the penalty that we all deserve because of sin—death. And He paid the penalty Himself. He then conquered death by rising from the dead. Now all those who believe in Him are forgiven and will have eternal life (John 3:16). We are so thankful for His sacrifice that gives us life and freedom.
I encourage you to pray with us that America will not lose its freedoms, especially the freedom of religion and free exercise of religion, both of which are under increasing attack today. Please pray for the coming Ark Encounter and the other ministries of Answers in Genesis that are boldly proclaiming the gospel to people around the world. And if you haven’t been to the Creation Museum yet, I encourage you to visit and take advantage of our exciting 2 Buy 2 offer this year. Buy two tickets and get two tickets of equal or lesser value free. And as a thank you to all those who have served or are serving in the US military, we are happy to offer special discounts and pricing, which you can learn about at CreationMuseum.org.
Happy Memorial Day.
Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
