Have a Blessed Thanksgiving!

by Ken Ham on November 27, 2014

As I am visiting my native country of Australia, I know that millions of Americans are celebrating Thanksgiving today. Several thousand miles away, I was so encouraged to learn that our AiG staff had celebrated this special time of year by reaching out to those in need. Our generous staff purchased toys, school supplies, and so on, and placed them in shoeboxes/plastic containers to donate to Operation Christmas Child (OCC). More than 150 boxes were collected from AiG staff to give to OCC to distribute to needy boys and girls in third-world nations—as our Christmas gifts to them. (Our thanks to our staff member Ronda for coordinating this wonderful outreach.) Here are most of the boxes:

At the same time, many of our staff donated food to the nearby City Gospel Mission in Cincinnati as a part of its program to feed the poor and homeless of our region. Here is a photo of much of the food that was loaded into a van and brought to the mission before Thanksgiving; it included several frozen turkeys donated by AiG staff.

Last summer, AiG's Vacation Bible School (VBS) program encouraged youth and adults to raise funds to supply meals to needy children around the world through the Children's Hunger Fund. More than half a million meals were provided through this VBS outreach! See this article from Answers Worldwide for more information.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,

Ken
