Remembering Veterans Day at Answers in Genesis and the Creation Museum

Today is Veterans Day in the United States, and we want to say thank you to all those who have served or who are serving in the US Armed Forces. We appreciate your sacrifice to protect our freedoms.

Today is also Remembrance Day or Armistice Day in many countries around the world such as my home country of Australia, as well as in Canada, France, and Belgium. In those countries, today serves as a time to stop and remember all of those who gave their lives, especially during the World Wars. Their sacrifice should not be forgotten.

Many people have given their lives over the years to protect our freedoms but, sadly, we’re slowly losing those freedoms right here on the United States’ home soil. As the once-biblical foundation of our culture continues to erode, we will see more and more people doing “what is right in their own eyes” (Judges 21:25) and persecuting those who stand firmly on God’s Word. As Christians, I encourage you to pray for our leaders and to boldly stand on the authority of God’s Word, from the very first verse. It is God’s Word and the gospel of Jesus Christ that will reclaim our lost culture. What better day to remember to pray for our countries than on a day set aside to remember those who sacrificed and are sacrificing for our country so that we could have freedom?

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,

Ken
