Great Encouragement

by Ken Ham on December 21, 2010

For all the negative things being said in the secular media about AiG, the Creation Museum, and the proposed Ark Encounter, it is good to be reminded of the majority of the kinds of positive responses AiG receives—like these two letters received this week that will really encourage you:

Dear Mr. Ham

I just wanted to thank you for all the work you and the team at Answers in Genesis and the Creation Museum have done. After being out of school for 25 years, I recently went back to college to earn a degree in applied science. This has required me to take biology and I have found the evolutionary aspects of the class to be quite exasperating. It has been extremely refreshing and uplifting knowing that I can just go online [www.AnswersInGenesis.org] and find answers and resources that combat every single, unreasonable argument that I am being forced to learn.

In a way, it is disheartening to see how many young people are learning about evolution as if it is truth and not even questioning its validity. I am trying to be salt and light, but it is not easy.

I was able to visit the Creation Museum a couple of years ago with my husband and young children and we just loved it! It truly brought the truth of God's Word to life. I don't understand how anyone could go there and not come out a believer, but I know from experience with my Biology Lab teacher (who also visited and called it "spooky") that it happens. It just proves that God's Word is foolishness to those who don't believe.

I know it isn't much but I would like to give a gift to show my appreciation for the knowledge I have gained from all of your resources. Please use it where you think it would be most prosperous. Maybe towards the new Ark exhibit that is going to be built. I can't wait to see it.

Thank you again.

Sincerely in Christ,

– J.A., OH

Here is the second letter:
Dear Mr. Ham,

I recently asked my children to make a list of what they wanted for Christmas. I was touched when I read my 16 year old son's list and I thought, "I need to send this to Ken Ham!" I hope it will encourage you. While many teen boys might be hoping for video games and Ipods, my son ... has a hunger to learn more about the Bible and apologetics. God has used you and your ministry to play a large part in my son's life. While [he] has had a love for the Lord from a young age, he has more recently developed a passion for understanding and sharing the relevance of Genesis and the authority of Scripture.

As a high school junior, [he] already feels the Lord leading him to Cedarville University. Although he is yet undecided on which science he will major in, his long term goal is to obtain his Ph.D. and be a biblical apologist. Of course, he also hopes to work with Answers in Genesis some day.

We will continue to pray for you, your family and your ministry. Thank you for all your hard work. You are a blessing to many!

Sincerely in Christ,

– K.A., OH
