At Answers in Genesis, we reach out to pastors in a number of ways. For instance, usually each month, we run a special pastors’ luncheon and Creation Museum tour. I spoke at yesterday’s luncheon on the vital importance and relevance of the book of Genesis—and the loss of biblical authority in today’s culture. Here is a photo of me (taken on a cell phone) speaking to the pastors (many of whom brought their wives):
I also spoke about the Already Gone book research (why two-thirds of young people are leaving the church), as well as the importance of presenting the Bible as real history (rather than just a book of so-called “stories”) and teaching apologetics—equipping people (including children) to be able to defend the Christian faith against today’s secular attacks.
Myself and my family have been blessed by your ministry since we first met you at a presentation in Albany, NY, about twenty years ago. Ever since, we have been attending your weekend programs up at Word of Life in Schroon Lake. I pray that you can continue to fight the good fight. I believe you and your AIG staff are some of the most influential and biblically principled servants of the Lord. Your ability to utilize the scientific information to explain the Bible and refute the evolutionary hogwash is phenomenal. Don't get discouraged.
A lot of us out here count on you to charge us up with the Answers magazine and you may not hear back sometimes as to how you are doing. The Bible comes alive more and more as we learn about the perfect plan and working intricacies that God has created in and around us. In my day-to-day contact with people and work associates, your work and the Answers magazine help me to interject miscellaneous pieces of creation info into conversations. It makes people at least stop and listen to an alternative to what they have been bombarded with over the years by the schools and media. So many people have just never heard a common sense, rational approach to divine creation.
Thanks so much for your hard work and may God Bless and strengthen you.
Then opened He their understanding . . . the ScripturesThanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,
(Luke 24:45-46) Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures, And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behooved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
To correctly understand the Scriptures is to see throughout the Scriptures the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.
