Atheist Ads and Evangelical Christians

by Ken Ham on December 16, 2009

In some ways a very amusing, but at the same time very sad, item out of England appeared on websites yesterday. Well-known atheist/anti-Christian Richard Dawkins (author of the blasphemous God Delusion book) has an ad campaign to promote indoctrinating children in atheism. The article concerning this campaign from the Times online news source from England states:

Children who front Richard Dawkins’ atheist ads are evangelicals

The two children chosen to front Richard Dawkins’s latest assault on God could not look more free of the misery he associates with religious baggage. With the slogan “Please don’t label me. Let me grow up and choose for myself”, the youngsters with broad grins seem to be the perfect advertisement for the new atheism being promoted by Professor Dawkins and the British Humanist Association.

Except that they are about as far from atheism as it is possible to be. The Times can reveal that Charlotte, 8, and Ollie, 7, are from one of the country’s most devout Christian families.

Insects Inside the Creation Museum!

No, there was no need to call Cook’s Pest Control on Tuesday to take care of any insect infestation at our museum! John Burnside, who teaches an entomology class (the study of insects) at Jackson Hole Bible College in Wyoming, spoke to our staff on the remarkable design of ants, houseflies, termites, and more—and how they relate to the authority of the Bible. Find out more about his college and its biblical worldview emphasis—located along the beautiful Grand Teton Mountains—on their website.

Here is a photograph of John making his presentation yesterday:

Photos of the Week

Here are three photos of the week:

1. Hannah, daughter of AiG artist/cartoonist Dan Lietha at AiG’s recent staff Christmas dinner

2. Dr. Jason Lisle–our astrophysicist—getting into the Christmas spirit

3. A supporter sent us this photograph taken in one of the local area hotels–note the top row

4. A selection of photos from the Creation Museum’s Live Nativity (Behtlehem’s Blessings) taken last week. Don’t miss the live nativity program this Friday and Saturday evening—and see the Creation Museum website for the other dates in December and early January.

Devotion

Say not, I am a child

(Jeremiah 1:7) But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for you shall go to all that I shall send you, and whatsoever I command you, you shall speak.

The Lord Jesus Christ does not want to hear us talk about our inadequacies as excuses for why we cannot; we are to focus on His adequacies for how we can.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying, Ken
