It Is a Fearful Thing to Fall into the Hands of the Living God

Even though it is gross sacrilege, I have included a YouTube video link for you to view the mock "communion service" conducted just outside the Creation Museum gates on Friday—by an atheist attorney for the atheist professor who lead the 285 atheists on a tour of the Creation Museum. Once you watch this, read the passage of Scripture below—like the watchman in Ezekiel, regardless of the response of these atheists, I believe we are obligated by Scripture to warn them of their fist-shaking against the God of the universe and how He intends to deal with such things: YouTube - PZaward.mov. Now consider:

For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? For we know Him who said, "Vengeance is Mine, I will repay," says the Lord. And again, "The LORD will judge His people." It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Refreshing Atheist Comment

Some of you may have read the numerous atheist blogs written after the visit of these 285 atheists to the Creation Museum. Many of them criticized AiG staff, including our public safety officers, in quite emotional ways (often with vile language), making all sorts of untrue accusations about their attitude and behavior. However, Lyz Liddell, senior campus organizer of the Secular Student Alliance who organized/headed up this particular tour, wrote the following in her web report:

Now, I was absolutely blown away by how accommodating and friendly the Creation Museum staff were. They knew we were coming; they knew exactly who we were. And there had been a little bit of tension about the purpose of our visit before we went. But after we got there, the staff were just phenomenally polite and kind and helpful, and the security guards were very polite and helpful to us. We were expecting more tension, so to have everything so polite and so smooth was absolutely great. As an organizer, that was the biggest thing for me: just how well their staff handled our group.

Although she obviously doesn’t agree with our message, we are thankful for her honest reporting about the tour. We even shared her comments with our staff at this morning’s staff meeting as way to say “thank you” for a job well done last Friday. Only one person in the atheist group—a videographer who kept shooting a private conversation (involving a family with young children, and he was told by our museum director to stop, but he didn’t)—was escorted away. Our Answers in Genesis staff who interacted with Lyz said she was a pleasure to deal with—always courteous and polite—what one would expect from a professional organizer.

(Colossians 1:27) To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

The greatest treasure we have is also a great marvel and mystery and our hope of glory and it is the Lord Jesus Christ living in us in the person of the Holy Spirit.
