Spotless Sinless Lamb of God

by Ken Ham on March 31, 2009

We have never apologized for the fact that the Answers in Genesis ministry and the Creation Museum are ultimately “on about” biblical authority and the gospel of Jesus Christ. People have often commented that they see God’s Word upheld and the gospel preached through every aspect of this ministry. That is what it is all about.

Our very popular Answers magazine is no different. Yes—there are lots of different articles about varied topics—but again, the gospel is clearly presented. That’s why I am always thrilled to receive emails like this one:

We give an Answers subscription to my sister and brother-in-law each year. Here is his response to your last issue, which he gave me permission to forward. Thank you for your ministry!...

Thank you so much for the renewal to the “Answers in Genesis” magazine. I have become so disgusted with the state of this country and its current political charlatans, that it has turned me growly. When I read the article by Dr. Voddie Bauchman, Jr., “Life’s Toughest Questions,” it was as if he was addressing the very problems I've been mulling over. Furthermore, the articles on apologetics are prescient, as defending the faith is something I have no problem doing, but doing so succinctly and eloquently is tougher, as my bible reading seems to move in fits and starts (I am in Second Kings, starting from Genesis).

But of everything, pp. 64 “The spotless, sinless Lamb of God is crushed, rejected, and killed to pay a debt that He did not owe on behalf of sinners who could never pay Him back.” That may be the most wonderful summation of God’s love that I have ever come across.

Also, [We] spent a long time with the T.V. off looking at the kids’ section (on bugs).”

Yes—Please Pray for Us

Many people tell us they daily pray for Answers in Genesis—and I can’t tell you enough how much we need your prayers. It means so much to us when people send us messages like this one:
As Moses received strength from his brethren so that he could continue to hold his hands up, so we are also lifting you and the entire Answers in Genesis staff in continuous prayer. May you continue to be strengthened and refreshed by those who love you, who continually pray for you, and by those who rejoice with you as we see the abundant fruit of our labors in Jesus Christ.

A Reminder of the Loaves and the Fishes

The person who sent us the message above also added:
PS. During these tough financial times, I am not able to contribute to AiG as much as I did last summer. Instead, as a young boy years ago offered 2 fish and 5 loaves, so I am sending 2 tens and 5 ones. May God multiply this offering!
Thank you! This ministry is built on God’s people giving sacrificially as they are able and praying for God to multiply the ministry in a mighty way—and that’s what He does!

If you haven’t signed up to pray for us through the AiG prayer web site, I encourage you to do so.

People Flocking to Creation Museum

The last couple of weeks have been very busy at the Creation Museum—and getting busier. Every day, buses, vans, and cars pour into the Creation Museum from all over the country. What a joy it is to walk out to the Main Hall and portico and watch the excited kids, teens, and Mums and Dads!

The new Natural Selection Exhibit is receiving rave reviews. Here is a panoramic photograph of this new addition to the Creation Museum.

Devotion

God’s purpose

(Acts 26:16–18) But rise, and stand upon thy feet: for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness both of these things which thou hast seen, and of those things in the which I will appear unto thee; Delivering thee from the people, and from the Gentiles, unto whom now I send thee, To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.

God’s purpose for us is to go to the lost to: (1) open their eyes, (2) turn them from darkness to light, (3) free them from Satan, and (4) receive the Lord Jesus for pardon.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,

Ken
