The Lamb’s Book of Life

Over the years, we have received many testimonies from parents concerning the children’s book A Is for Adam. Many have told us that when they get to the page where children are asked “Is your name in the Lamb’s Book of Life?” their child has said something like, “Dad, Mum, I want to pray and trust Jesus and make sure my name is in the Lamb’s Book of Life.”

Last night at the second evening of the AiG conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan, an 11-year-old boy came and said to me, “I wanted to let you know that my four year old sister asked Jesus into her life when my Mom was reading the A Is for Adam book and got to the page about the Lamb’s Book of Life.” That’s what this ministry is all about!

Also last evening, a man who uses AiG videos and other resources to minister to people in jail introduced me to a man who is now out of prison. The man told me that the AiG videos he saw in jail changed his life—helped him to trust the Bible—and now he was at the conference with his sons. We have heard of many people using AiG resources in jail and, as a result, seeing changed lives!

Another person last night in Michigan told me they were turned on to the biblical creation ministry when they attended one of the very first conferences I spoke at in Delaware when I worked with ICR. He said creation resources have been a tremendous help in his life ever since.

This morning I speak to the students at Grace Bible College—then at a private luncheon where I will be sharing my testimony—then Buddy Davis, Carl Kerby, and I will give our final presentations for the Grand Rapids AiG conference.

By the way, with Carl being along on this ministry trip, I wanted to acknowledge that today is Veterans Day in America—Carl and so many of our staff served in the U.S. military, and as a rather new citizen, I wanted to acknowledge their service to America. I also want to mention Art Hunsicker, a faithful 13-year volunteer at AiG who served in World War II (he was actually in the famous Battle of the Bulge during the winter of 1944/45). In addition, Dick Sauer—who has also volunteered at AiG since almost the beginning of the ministry—served in the Pacific during WWII. Thank you, Art and Dick, for serving here and for serving America.

For Such a Time as This

I received this feedback from a lady who lost her husband in a car accident a number of months ago:
I have also benefited from reading your book How Could a Loving God…? and I am reading it again with my children. The idea that a part of Esther being born “for such a time as this” included the death of her parents is powerful. We don’t know how God is going to use [my husband’s] death but we are comforted to know that it is a part of God’s perfect plan.
Please pray for this lady and her children as they struggle through this difficult time.

Devotion

First danger signal

(Hebrews 2:1) Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.

What must I do to be saved? Believe on Christ. What must I do to be lost? Nothing, just drift. A failure to respond to God is the first danger signal of coming peril.

Thanks for stopping by and thanks for praying,

Ken
